Not to kiss ass but I got to tell you last summer I had knee surgery( ACL reconstruct and 6 months later they had to go back in to shave part of my knee cap and cartilage) long story short I had noticed that if I wore my Remind insoles my knee wouldn't hurt as much as the days that I didn't wear them .... I asked my Dr. and he was impressed with how your insoles kept everything in line , so what I'm trying to say is thank you for making a great product.
~Lorenzo

Man they are awesome. Ive tried them in my jamosk's, lakai Manchester selects, emerica g code and vans. Perfect fit/feel in each.  I'm pumped on how they made my brand new pair of Janoski's feel. Your suggestions are spot on. Have already started spreading the word and will continue to do so. Thanks again!

These insoles are the best thing to happen to skateboarding since the invention of the nose! Honestly, I love my insoles and am super happy I bought a pair. I'm 16 and have been skating most of my life. A couple years ago I had a terrible knee injury that put me out for a while. Once I get back to skating I had a lot of foot pain because I had basically been lying on a couch doing physical therapy for a year. These insoles reduce my foot pain a lot and help me enjoy skateboarding to the fullest.  I've recommended them to my friends as well as older skaters who I believe could benefit from them. Thanks for the great product.
~Andrew

I really have enjoyed these insoles. I feel they are a great, if not the best, product for action sports insoles out right now. I have compared these to the footprint kingfoam insoles and I feel your product flys way above footprints product. All together I must say I really enjoy your product and I will be purchasing them again.
~Ty

I bought a pair of Medics a couple weeks ago, I slipped em into my boots(and tried em in my shoes) I have to say, they make me feel awesome. My feet have never felt this happy.  Thanks guys.
~Andrew

I recently got a pair of the Medic insoles and have really been liking them. I recently came off some gnarly lower back/hip issues and I think having some legit arch/heel support really helped a lot.  I can definitely feel the difference skating them. There are those times when you just kind of smack your foot down and a shock wave ripples up your body and I feel like the insoles help absorb that kind of impact really well. I've been switching them back and forth between a few pairs of shoes, so definitely need to get another set soon!  Thanks guys! excellent stuff
~Nate

I absolutely love the pair of medics that I own. I have them in a pair of DC snowboard boots - totally sick!  You are 100% the aftermarket genius when it comes to taking a lame insole from a seriously expensive boot, and putting in exactly what the manufacturer should have done in the first place. Thanks for being awesome!
~David

I have been skating for about three years, and then I quit for about three years.  I just recently got back into it, a couple months ago and I had the worst leg pain in my entire life.  Shin splints are caused from overpronation, having flat feet, and constant impact with hard surfaces.  I have flat feet, using stock insoles and skateboarding is the perfect formula for getting one (fml).   I thought the whole I.C.E. (ice, elevate, and compression) would cure my nasty shin splint but it persisted for weeks.  I started researching and found you guys randomly and honestly, I wasn't buying into the whole gimmick of orthotic insoles, so I had to try them out myself to see what the whole buzz was about.  It's been about two weeks since I have been using your CUSH insoles, and things got hectic.  My shin splint literally disappeared within a few days, skating was comfier than ever, I felt more centered and balanced, more support and overall comfort was better than ever.  And my feet were happy.  I was happy.  I'm still happy to this day because of your sick product.  I use them in every shoe I wear.  So thank you, much appreciation, and Jah Bless. One love.
~Nate

I have been using a pair of your insoles now for a couple of months and to be honest, they've changed my life. Not only have they made a huge difference in my comfort level when I'm skating, my back and knees feel better than they have in years when I'm just walking around. Recently, when I tried to wear shoes with normal insoles again I found it impossible. After trying Remind insoles, there is no going back. I now rock a Remind sticker on my board with pride, and tell every skater I know to do themselves a favor and buy a pair. I just now ordered a pair for my dad, for Father's Day. He doesn't skate, but I know his old ass will be able to appreciate walking in comfort.  Thanks for the amazing product!
~Buck

Thanks for the awesome insoles!  I wear them in my shoes while bartending and in my snowboard boots!  I love them, thanks again!!
~Teri

All Time!  A Great Product!   Comfy, No Foot Fatigue.  Shred Harder!
~Corey

I finally took the plunge and got some insoles for my everyday shoes.  I usually walk to school so I spend a lot of time on my feet and after a while I would start feeling soreness in some of my joints.  I knew they would be beneficial just from my experience with them in my boots so it was a win-win.  No surprise, I no longer have the aches and pains of being on my feet all day.  Thanks again!
~Scott

These insoles are no joke.I took these out to a ride yesterday. Nothing gnarly just tree and bowls runs for pow but a lot of crud and ice elsewhere on and around the groomers. Helped handle the chatter better, but I was also ridin' a new board. Really great support. These coupled with a good new pair of boots made all the difference. Helped on softening the bite on jump impacts. Kept the heel and the arch pressure consistent. Totally awesome.  Will definitely get another pair next week for everyday usage. :)
~Fes

Hmmm, how do I describe these insoles. Well, first off, they are F*&%ING AMAZING. When I've skated with them my feet don't hurt from the repetitive beating I give them. I've landed primo...arches and heels don't hurt;  I've landed at least 5 feet drops off/on my board...my feet don't hurt. I am astonished that Remind Insoles are so good.I am forever a lover of Remind Insoles. Keep up the great work!
~Alex

Remind insoles are the greatest. I have bad ankle none placement so naturally it messes with the balance on the board. Ever since Remind Medic's I have more balance! Especially with mannys. I sucked at those thank you!
~Malijah

You make one hell of an awesome insole.  My back, knees and ankles thank you many times a day.  My feet sing your praises with each step.  Prior to trying your insoles I used every other possible insole on the market would heat mold my snowboard liners and nothing works as well as the Remind family of products.  I have tried them all Cush, Remedy, and Medic.  They just keep getting better and better and you cant really make a bad choice.  Keep up the good work so we can keep thrashing despite the old bones.  You guys rock!
~Brian

The Remind insoles are straight up Epic: It all started with the Cush, then the Remedy, and now I have upgraded to the Medic.  After thrashing some tendons and ligaments in my front foot ankle I was so STOKED when I found out about these shoe inserts that have helped me tremendously.
Remind insoles are where it's at. Keep up the good work. The graphics are awesome, and the insoles are extremely comfortable, they mold right to your feet after the first skate session and feel amazing.
~Khalil

Since I started using Remind my ankles and knees hurt less after a day of skating. I've been telling all my friends about you guys. Thank you for making good products!

Team Reviews and Testimonials

Travis Rice: "I spent years trying to find a solution to make my feet happy. Remind Insoles has ended that search! Tried and true... Remind Science reigns supreme!"

Chico Brenes: "I was diagnosed with patella tendonitis or Jumper's knee and my doctor told me that I needed to skate some insoles with some more support.  as soon as I slipped in Remind Insoles they felt right and molded right to my foot.  For me they are the ones doing the job right now.  They feel like I am walking on clouds"

Chad Tim Tim:  I herniated my L4 and L5 disc which is when your disc protrudes out of your spine.  I spent 2 months bed ridden and I couldn't touch my toes or do really much of anything.  It was a slow process of what can I do to help my back not hurt any more… so I was constantly stuffing my shoes  with double insoles and different gel supports. I tried so many thing and none of them were comfortable.  I have been seeing a spine specialist and I brought him the Remind Insoles to take a look at and he said they are really well thought out and good. Having the Remind support in my shoes effects the way my back is impacted.  If I just have regular insoles I can feel them bottom out and I can feel the pain shooting up my back and spine.  Now I don't have to think about that anymore and It's helped me have more confidence in my skating.  Educating yourself is a huge key and taking the steps to be supportive… I have been skating for 15 years and my body is not getting any younger so I need that extra support now.

Kevin Jones:  "John Makens (owner of remind) is not a business man. Hes a skateboarder and snowboarder who got sick of people complaining their feet and back hurting.  He did something about it….. I just thought we lived with foot pain. I was wrong, These insoles changed everything for me!"

Bjorn Leines:  "It's rad to be using a product that was created and tested by a group or core shredders.  This is why Remind Insoles are the best insoles I have ever used! A true rider driven brand."

Kyle Clancy:  "With so much effort and money being put into bindings and boots... folks forget to pay attention to their insoles.  Remind has helped me with spine and joint alignment and the ability to ride until the lifts close.  Stop torturing yourselves."

Lizard King:  "First time I tried them I rolled off a roof and I thought for sure I was going to be dead… but I made it and my feet made it...  when your confident in your back and your knees you're confident with the ladies.  Remind insoles classy stuff."

Paul Shier:  I put them in my shoes and from the moment I skated down my driveway my shoes felt a lot better and my feet said to me "thank you mate!"  I need to look after my feet because my feet have taking quite a battering the past number of years.  My feet are a lot happier now with the Remind Insoles in there… My shoes are a happy place now.

Walker Ryan:  "I don't have to worry about having my feet bruised in thin shoes anymore."

Boo Johnson:  "No more heel bruise... No more knee aches... No more back pains… You'll love them trust me."

Nick Tucker:  "They are the only insole that will allow me to skate all day long."

Win a new pair of Remind insoles in this week's Gear Giveaway. Enter here → http://snbd.me/0di

It’s no secret that shredding all day takes a toll on your feet. From lack of circulation to discomfort and cramping; not missing a pow turn because your feet hurt seems like some kind of college science experiment, and we all know how that class turned out. When we strapped on the new Remind Insoles this past winter we were pleasantly surprised to find out that someone else took that class for us.

Based out of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, John Makens took 30 years of bio-mechanical engineering, a passion for skateboarding and snowboarding and created an insole with one goal in mind - to live the dream a little less painfully.  The idea is to prolong the health and longevity for skateboarders and snowboarders by promoting care and awareness of the feet.

But don’t take our word for it, with team riders like Travis Rice, Bryan Iguchi, Mark Carter and Kevin Jones just on the snowboard side, you know they are doing something right. “I spent years trying to find a solution to make my feet happy,” says Travis Rice. “The Cush has ended that search! Tried and true, Remind reigns supreme.”

Remind offers three different custom insoles: The Cush, The Medic and The Remedy – all three with an anti-microbial fabric to keep your feet cool, dry and happy.

The Remedy offers a self-molding, tri-foam deep heal seat construction for high impact absorption and protection. Recommended for those in need of high arch support, The Remedy utilizes a semi-rigid insert to support and flex with the foot’s natural movements.

Rocking Remind’s new Blue Magic Protection throughout the entire insole, The Medic is for those who like to go big. If you’re dropping huge cliffs, Blue Magic absorbs the heaviest of shock impacts to help protect the heel and forefoot from bruising and injury without ever packing out.

Lastly, Remind offers The Cush, a self-molding insole that utilizes a deep heel seat with Blue Magic that’s ready to go right out of the box; no need for a custom molding process. The Blue Magic absorbs heavy impacts while the self-forming arch molds to your specific foot and arch shape to keep your feet and body aligned.

One last thing to remember: when you use a custom insole your foot is placed back in its normal position as if no weight was on it. Meaning you might need a boot about a half size smaller.

Angrysnowboarder: For the skeptics out there that don’t believe in anything aftermarket whether it’s foot beds or liners what can you tell them about their feet and snowboarding that might change their mind? And why Remind exists and what your products benefits are to them?

John Makens: Try punching a wall with your wrist bent… actually don’t because you will break your wrist. Now if you stack your joints and make sure your wrist is straight you will have more force and power and are less prone to injury. Now imagine your wrist is now your ankle and it is enclosed in a shoe that bends it out of alignment… you have all your body’s weight on it all the time and you start jumping off of everything. You want to be damn sure that your joints are stacked and aligned to perform at your highest potential and don’t risk injury. That is exactly what our insoles do is help align your foot into a position that helps stack and align your joints.

I was also a skeptic, until I started experiencing foot ankle knee and back issues. I started seeing a Chiropractic doctor who got me turned on to orthotic insoles back when I was 10 years old. I really didn’t get the science behind it at that age, but I could definitely tell that I felt better. Over the past 20 years I’ve experimented with all sorts of custom orthotics and basic insoles… Anything to help alleviate the stress of my joints. I have been Skateboarding and Snowboarding for about 23 years and I feel it everyday! Naturally like anybody, I want scientific data, explanations and solid proof. The more I researched orthotics the more I understood the body’s mechanics and complex anatomy. Everyone has a different type of foot and body make up and needs something specific to their unique foot structure. I came to the realization that shoes and boots are manufactured for only one type of foot and in most cases are not scientifically and bio-mechanically engineered to support the foot and joints properly. Remind’s orthotic insoles and snowboard boot liners is the result of all this. We deliver products that support our feet anatomically with a solid foundation and help align the body’s joints to alleviate stress. We work with several different doctors, engineers and an entire research and development team to make sure our insoles are doing their intended purpose.

AS: Are these based off a one to one molding or is it the typical full size with a different insole for half sizes?

JM: We have the molds to offer one to one with full and half sizes… This first season however we are only offering only full sizes that fit nicely in a full or half size boot. They have enough give to compensate for a half size… We will offer half sizes the next go around.

AS: How compatible will this be with a boot that has the internal liner harness sewn into the shell? Have you noticed any difficulty getting it to work with a boot shell like this? Are there any boots you feel won’t work with this liner?

JM: Every boot I have tried and the team riders have tried they fit nicely… I am running the Lashed which has an internal harness and it fits great. As long as the sizing is right with the boot I don’t for see any issues.

AS: Will there be a wider mold for those with bigger feet or is it universal to an extent and heat molding will just help with the fitting process?

JM: These are engineered with self-molding capability so you really don’t need to do anything. They will mold to your foot and ankle over a short period of time and retain its shape with out packing out. They can be heat molded if one desires to do so.

AS: How do you adjust the Solutions flex depending on terrain? Does it utilize tongue stiffeners or something completely different?

JM: Since it is a high performance liner it comes optimized to a stiffness necessary for proper support and performance. We are in the works to offer different stiffness liners for some one who desires a looser feel.

AS: I know you’re going to be offering these at specialty retailers but will people be able to buy them directly off your site as well?

JM: Yes they will. We like to support the local shops though… so head in there and check em out.

Remind Introduces ‘SOLUTION’ Boot Liner for Longer Lasting, Better Fitting and Next Level Boot Performance

Remind Insoles’ SOLUTION Snowboard Boot Liner in stores September 2012

San Diego, CA (August 21, 2012) – Remind Insoles introduces a new SOLUTION to help snowboarders live the dream longer and less painfully while enhancing performance. This first ever, after-market snowboard boot liner is available at snowboard shops starting this fall.

Remind’s snow team, including iconic snowboarders Travis Rice, who introduced his promodel Remind Remedy this spring, Bryan Iguchi, Mark Carter and Kevin Jones along with up-and-comer Blake Paul, tested out the liners through a gamut of abuse over three years and 6 million vertical feet. Remind SOLUTION Liners are constructed with premium layers of foam that work together to eliminate pressure points, maintain proper anatomical support and flex.

“This is the most durable liner on the market,” says John Makens, president of Remind Insoles. “No corners have been cut in developing materials or designing the anatomical fit. We look forward to working with snowboard shops this fall to fit more riders to proper boot liners as winter rolls back in.”

The SOLUTION is built around a natural anatomical shape with mold-ability that secures the foot and ankle while allowing flex for natural movement. A roomy forefoot area allows a rider to gain more balance and stability, joined with a tighter rear foot area for security and support is the perfect formula for natural feel. The liner thickens above the heel to add a nice heel hold down paired with an aggressive ankle arch and heel contour.

Built to last for years, the SOLUTION liner resists damage from rivets that are internally exposed on boot shells and interior wear. Depending on the day and terrain, the Solution adjusts to allow for a softer or stiffer flex.

Natural Anatomical Shape And Flex: Bio-mechanically engineered for proper anatomical alignment and perfect flex with the foot and ankle’s natural mechanical movements with the right amount of support needed.

Thermo-Molding Trio Foam System: Extremely durable anti-microbial three-foam system, engineered for proper density, rebound and shock absorption, provides superb cushioning, even pressure point distribution and molds to specific foot details. Equipped with BLUE MAGIC for zero pack out and ultimate shock absorption.

ZERO Pack Out Blue Magic Foam: Blue Magic is a state-of-the-art, high-impact protective, smart foam able to endure heavy shock impacts and transform its character to absorb and distribute energy predominantly reducing impact while keeping its original cushy soft foam state without ever packing out. Blue Magic is more protective, comfortable and outperforms traditional inferior foams used in the market.
